The Killers are set to release this year's Christmas single, thought to be called 'Dirt Sledding'. As LA Weekly reports, the band's tour manager Ryan Pardey recently described the track's accompanying video: "A deranged Santa walks up to the camera in the middle of the desert, pulls a tomahawk out of his bag and lights it on fire. The crazed man in red throws the ax at his target, a stuffed teddy bear with a picture of Killers frontman Brandon Flowers taped to its head. It’s a bull’s-eye." Posting on Twitter, The Killers have also hinted that Jaws actor Richard Dreyfuss may make a cameo in the clip. The video has been previewed via social media, see below. Stereogum reports that the song is likely to be premiered on Jimmy Kimmel next Tuesday (December 1). The Killers have been releasing Christmas songs every year since 2006. SEE ALSO: Naughty Or Nice? Is that weird?" #premonitiontuesday— The Killers (@thekillers) November 17, 2015 Brandon Flowers, meanwhile, has discussed the progress of The Killers' next album, describing the band as being in the early stages of writing songs for the LP. The band's fourth album 'Battle Born' was released in 2012, with Flowers releasing his solo album 'The Desired Effect' in May of this year. Speaking to NME, the frontman said: "We’re writing - we’re in the early stages", adding that "in a perfect world" fans will be able to hear new music "at the end of 2016 maybe". "If The Killers want to take a year or two off then there’s no reason for me not to make a solo record but if the fires are burning in the band then there will be a Killers record," Flowers continued. The Shins - No Way Down lyrique

The son of a government man
And a pillar of salt
I was born with blood on my hands
And have all the signs of a bleeding heart

Living high on a giant hawk
On a mountain so steep
Keep your head in a hollow log
As the ruling fog are about to creep

What have we done?
How'd we get so far from the sun?
Lost, lost in an oscillating phase
Where a tiny few catch all of the rays

Out beyond the western squalls
In an Indian land
They work for nothing at all
They don't know the mall or the layaway plan

Dig yourself a beautiful grave
Everything you could want
Maybe those invisible slaves
Are too far away for a ghost to haunt

What do we charge?
Letting go of a claim so large
Oh, all of our working days are done
But a tiny few are having all of the fun

Get used to the dust in your lungs

Is there no way down
From this peak to solid ground
Without having our gold teeth
Pulled from our mouth

Make me a drink strong enough
To wash away this dishwater world they said was lemonade
Walk with me after the show
Maybe we can find a way through the minefield in the snow

What are they charged?
Letting go of a claim so large
Oh, all of our working days are done
But a tiny few are having all of the fun

Apologies to the sick and the young
Get used to the dust in your lungs
