The new Men In Black movie will feature a "prominent woman in black", producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald have revealed.
Parkes and McDonald confirmed in September that they are "reinventing" the comedy sci-fi franchise with a potential new trilogy of films. Now they have given an update to the BBC, saying they are still "quite early on" in the process.
In September, the duo said that original star Will Smith would "most likely" be absent from the new movie, but now they have spoken a little more positively about Smith's involvement, saying: "Never count Will out."
The duo produced the original 1997 Men In Black film starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones and its two sequels, which followed in 2002 and 2012.
Men In Black 3, in which Smith and Jones were joined by Emma Thompson and Josh Brolin, became the franchise's most successful instalment, grossing $624 million (£410 million) at the box office globally in 2012. The following year, it was reported that a script was being written for Men In Black 4 but the project later stalled.
